Bald Eagle Golf Club still trying to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic

Bald Eagle Golf Club in Point Roberts, Wash. is still trying to find a way to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The course, which is only accessible from the United States through Canada, was forced to shut its doors on March 16, 2020 when the pandemic started to rage.

Since then, the course has been closed with General Manager Rick Hoole and a volunteer crew working to keep the course in shape. He was forced to lay off the entire maintenance crew when the course shut down over two years ago. Volunteers kept the grass cut to two inches as not to lose the grass at the golf course.

The U.S.-Canadian border opened months ago, but for people traveling across, but people are still leery about having trouble going home when they make the trip across.

Hoole said that investors have visited the course recently and have shown interest.  Hoole hopes that papers get signed and Bald Eagle can back to the course it once was.
