Tacoma’s Highlands and Lake Limerick top short courses in U.S.

Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma has been ranked among the top short courses in the country by GolfPass. Each of these facilities needed at least 10 reviews in 2023 to quality for our Golfers’ Choice 2024 rankings of the best short courses in America. Many of them aren’t found at destination resorts like the famous “short courses” you’ve read about, but they’re rock stars in their local communities.

Highlands checked in at five on the list while Lake Limerick in Shelton was ranked 19th on the list. The rankings by GolfPass took into account both executive-length courses like Highlands and short nine-holers like Lake Limerick.
