There was plenty of Pacific Northwest flavor when the PGA Tour Champions and LPGA Tour visited the Pacific Northwest with the Boeing Classic and Portland LPGA Classic.

Northwest native Fred Couples always draws a crowd when he plays in front of his home crown at Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club. Couples finished tied for 18th. Another Northwest player Kirk Triplett of Pullman tied for fifth.

Stephen Ames made up a seven-shot deficit in the final round to win for the second year in a row.

At the LPGA Portland Classic, Northwest native Gigi Stoll shot rounds of 71-70 but missed the two-round cut. Two more Pacific Northwest natives Carolyn Inglis and Kennedy Swann both played in the tournament but missed the cut as well. Former University of Washington player Jing Yan finished tied for 22nd.

Moriya Jutanugarn won the event by two shots.
