It was a private club for 27 years and the public golfer may not know much about Indian Summer Golf and Country Club in Olympia. They may not know that in 1996 and ‘97 the course hosted the Nike Tour events (Nike Olympia Open and Nike Puget Sound Open).

When the course opened in 1992 it was open to the public for three years before transitioning to fully private, where it has remained for the past 27 years. Until Now!

Starting this month, the public is welcome to play, and you might be surprised at the prices. The winter rates are $59 Monday through Thursday and only $69 Friday through Sunday. And, it gets even better with discounted rounds available with an Oki Players Card purchase. You can buy a Players Card online at www.okigolf.com.

The Peter L. H. Thompson designed golf course is built to rigid, tournament-caliber specifications with magnificent, old-growth fir, cedar, hemlock and alder.  This is a forested course with a few holes of open meadow and an abundance of water features. However, with six sets of tees, golfers of every skill level will have a challenging and enjoyable experience, round after round.

Indian Summer Golf and Country Club is among the Northwest’s premier golf clubs, known for its superb, year-round conditioning with a sand base that makes it an excellent winter course.

Though the course is open for public play, the club memberships offer a wide range of options, like full membership, snow bird membership, weekday limited and several other plans.

From weddings, to corporate meetings and tournaments, Indian Summer, with its 33,000-square-foot clubhouse, is the benchmark for hospitality in the greater Olympia area.

Though winter golf may not appeal to everyone, but for those who golf year-round, here is a chance to play a well-conditioned course that is very playable in the winter.
