The 12th annual Gig Harbor City Amateur will be held Sept. 14-15 at Madrona Links Golf Course in Gig Harbor. The two-day tournament has an entry fee of $160 which includes two days of tournament golf, a practice round at Madrona, tee prize, hot dog and chips and two drink tickets. Looking to keep that competitive golf tournament appetite going, then the Oak Classic Presented by Coca Cola just might be what you are looking for. Oakbrook Golf Club and the Classic are teaming up for this two-day tournament Sept. 14-15.
The Sept. 14 round will be held at the Classic Golf Club while the Sept. 15 round will be played at Oakbrook. Both rounds will be individual stroke play. Entry fee is $200 for non members and $100 for members. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. both days. Registration deadline is Sept. 7.

The USGA makes a return to the Pacific Northwest this month with the USGA Women’s Senior Amateur Championship. The event is scheduled for Sept. 21-26 at Seattle’s Broadmoor Golf Club.
The event is open to any female golfer who is 50 years of age as of Sept. 21 and whose handicap index does not exceed 14.4
The championship calls for two days of stroke play before the top 64 players will face off in match play. The final match will be Thursday, Sept. 26 and feature 18 holes for the title. Portland’s Lara Tennant will be one of the favorites.
The Portland Golf Club will host in 2026.
