The professional golf tours will again make their annual stops in the Northwest in Snoqualmie, Wash., Portland and Boise.
First on the tee will be the PGA Tour Champions Boeing Classic, set for Aug. 8-10. This is one of the most popular events on the PGA Tour Champions schedule. Stephen Ames has won the last two Boeing Classics and looks to make it three championships in a row when he tees it up in August.
The LPGA’s Standard Portland Classic has set the dates of Aug. 14-17 and has a new sponsor but the same host course in Columbia Edgewater. The best of the LPGA always tees it up in the longest-running tournament on the LPGA Tour.
The Korn Ferry’s Albertson’s Boise Open is set for Aug. 14-17 and will be an important playoff event on the Korn Ferry schedule for players looking to get their PGA Tour cards.
