If you are looking for road trips to play in some amateur tournaments around the country, here are a couple that are worth the time.
• Las Vegas World Amateur
The annual event is set for Feb. 27-March 1 at three of Las Vegas top golf courses. The field will be divided into flights with each flight playing individual net.
The first round will be at the Revere Lexington course; the second round will be at the Revere Concord course with the final round at Chimera. Entry fee is $650. For information see www.vegasworldam.com
• World Am Q School
The annual World Am Q School will be played March 13-15 at some of Myrtle Beach’s top golf courses. The three-day tournament includes tournament rounds of golf, daily lunches, a welcome gift and more.
