Bandon Dunes Golf Resort and the United State Golf Association has had a terrific relationship through the years. And in 2025, another championship is heading to the Oregon Coast.

The USGA Women’s  Amateur is set for Aug. 4-10 at the original Bandon Dunes course, designed by David McLay Kidd. The course opened for play in 1999 and was the first of six courses at the resort.

A total of 156 competitors are schedules to  take part in the championship. The field will be cut to the low 64 players after two days of stroke play qualifying. The final 64 players will take part five days of match play culminating with the championship match of 36 holes on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Bandon Dunes is on the USGA schedule for two more Women’s Amateur Championships in 2032 and in 2041. The resort has hosted several notable USGA championships through the years starting with the 2006 Curtis Cup. The U.S. Amateur was held in 2020 and in 2022 the U.S. Junior Amateur took place.

The USGA will stage a total of 11 more championships at Bandon Dunes over the next 20 years including the 2028 Walker Cup Match.
